Conferences: Since 1996, RVA has managed the Heinz Family Philanthropies’ annual Conference on Women’s
Health and the Environment, with an average yearly attendance of more than 1,500 participants.

Other annual conferences have included the Breast Cancer Research Symposium, Prostate Cancer Symposium
and the Teen Challenge Fund conferences of the MA Department of Public Health. RVA managed the MA Medical
Reserve Corps (MRC) Best Practices Conference, the Cambridge Public Health Department’s conference Combining
Forces against Bioterrorism and the Children’s Trust Fund’s two-day 10th Annual Family Support Institute.

RVA has established a reputation for providing quality services on time
and within budget. In 2005, in less than two
months, RVA organized a series of 16 informational sessions around
Massachusetts about upcoming changes to the Medicare Part D Program for
the UMass Medical School Center for Health Policy & Research. In 2006,
the firm organized five Regional Conferences on Pandemic Preparedness
for the MA Department of Public Health.
Special Programs: RVA has provided event planning and management services
for several programs with the MA Department of Public Health, including
the Offices of Cancer Research and Emergency Preparedness. RVA organized
the 20th Anniversary of the MA Commission for the Deaf and Hard of
Hearing at the State House, and produced a captioned video and traveling
display materials. RVA also manages groundbreaking ceremonies,
dedications and other special events. RVA staff members worked with the Boston Water and Sewer Commission on floats for the
annual Dorchester Day Parade for several years.
