Kate Barrett is Vice President of Public Involvement. In this capacity, she oversees the firm's public involvement projects for public and private sector clients, including strategic planning, program implementation and facilitation. Before joining RVA, Ms. Barrett was a community and press relations consultant to municipalities and nongovernmental organizations, specializing in environmental and community development issues. In this role, she served as strategic adviser and assisted several regional initiatives with planning and implementing public outreach programs to foster greater awareness and participation. Ms. Barrett is a member of the International Association for Public Participation. She received a Master of Public Administration degree in December 2008 from Suffolk University.
