Regan Checchio joined RVA as a Public Participation Coordinator in 2000 and became Public Affairs Manager in 2005. She
currently staffs the Urban Ring and the Green Line Extension Projects
for the MA Executive Office of Transportation and the MBTA. Ms. Checchio coordinates the Medical Reserve
Corps Program for Massachusetts in conjunction with the Department of Public Health. She manages the Annual Conference on
Women's Health and the Environment for the Heinz Family Philanthropies. Prior to joining RVA, Regan worked as a Research
Assistant at the Iowa Social Science Institute. She received her Master's Degree in Political Science from the University
of Iowa in 1996. In 1998, she co-authored a chapter in Lois Duke Whittaker's Women in Politics: Outsiders or Insiders?
