Landmark events include the planning, organizing and staffing the very successful Voices of Experience conference series (2011-2014) for a consortium of hospital leadership and public health officials; the Patient Navigator conference series (2010-2015 - upcoming) for the MA Department of Public Health (DPH); and several events for the Betsy Lehman Center on Patient Safety and Medical Error Reduction (BLC) in 2014. For 11 years, RVA organized the national Women’s Health and the Environment Series for the Heinz Family Philanthropies. As part of regular event services, RVA has developed and maintained the conference websites; designed events that combined keynote speakers, networking, resource and poster sessions, and breakout groups to offer interactive skills-based learning; managed registration, including the payment of conference fees; developed waiting lists for popular events and sessions; identified venues and managed site logistics including A/V and catering; distributed event invitations; coordinated production of award plaques; coordinated presentations with speakers; produced name badges and other collateral materials for conference folders; coordinated speaker travel and accommodations; and providing onsite staffing.
